FIVE-YEAR WARRANTY INITIATIVE ON SELECTED DAIHATSUS

Japanese manufacturer Daihatsu has launched a New Year five-year ‘peace-of-mind’ warranty campaign on selected models.

Both the Terios mini-SUV and Sirion five-door supermini will come with five years’ unlimited mileage warranty plus five years’ UK roadside recovery to support their already excellent whole-life costs.

The offer is designed to continue Daihatsu’s sustained sales growth which saw car sales increase by more than 24 per cent in 2007.

The award-winning Terios 1.5 S costs £12,995 on-the-road despite a high standard specification which includes air-conditioning, power-steering, ABS with EBD and full-time four-wheel drive with electronic centre diff-lock.

Also standard on the Terios are driver, passenger and side airbags, radio/CD player, four electric windows and even reverse parking sensors.

NEW, BIGGER-ENGINED SIRION TOPS REVISED ’08 RANGE

A new 1.5 litre engine plus sporty looks and high equipment levels are features of the new Daihatsu Sirion SX – on sale immediately and priced at £9,495 on-the-road.

Meanwhile, the entire Sirion range benefits from a freshening up with new bumpers and air-intakes, new wheel designs, revised, grippier front seats, plusher cloth trim and improved rear suspension for taughter handling.

Based on the top-spec Sirion 1.3 SE, the SX adds a larger 103 PS 1.5 litre engine, a deep front spoiler with mesh grille, front fog lamps, side skirts and rear tailgate spoiler.

TOP ‘4×4 OF THE YEAR’ AWARD FOR NEW TERIOS

Daihatsu’s popular Terios sport utility has been voted a ‘4×4 Of The Year’ winner for the second year running following tough testing by 4×4 magazine.
